Darshita Dalal, MPT
Darshita received a Bachelors of Physical Therapy (Physiotherapy) from The College of Physiotherapy, Sardar Patel University, Anand, India. Her dissertation topic was "Effectiveness of Breathing Exercises in Pleural Disease."
Darshita went on to receive her Post Professional Masters in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University, Loma Linda, CA. Her research topic was "Effects of Branched Chain Amino Acids on Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness in Diabetic Patients." (Submitted)
During her professional career, she has worked with various populations, ranging from pediatrics, women’s health, skilled nursing, stroke rehabilitation to outpatient orthopedics. She has successfully treated headache, neck pain, carpel tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff injury, tennis elbow, low back pain, knee and foot pain in the orthopedic setting. Her treatment philosophy integrates body and mind into an individualized holistic approach to achieve complete long-term recovery. She strives for continuous growth and development through continuing education and mentoring. She has recently done continuing education courses in KinesioTaping, Applied functional movement science, lumbar and pelvic treatments. Currently she is advancing her knowledge in Osteopathic Physiotherapy.
Apart from work, she loves spending time with her family and exploring the Pacific Northwest. She also enjoys practicing and teaching Yoga in her spare time.
